OUR EQUINE SERVICES

A talented group of veterinarians and technicians provide the services offered by Casper Animal Medical Center at our clinic and on the road. Routine procedures include vaccinations, deworming, maintenance dental care, health certificates, pre-purchase exams and Coggins testing.

In addition, many other health concerns can be evaluated while at the clinic including: lameness, illness, reproductive issues, ophthalmic injuries and emergency situations such as colic and lacerations.

Our veterinarians will evaluate your horse and administer the appropriate treatments and, if deemed necessary, discuss with you the option of boarding your horse at the clinic for more intensive care.

Digital Capabilities

We have a digital x-ray machine that can be used for radiography, and a digital ultrasound unit that can be utilized for reproductive services. Digital capabilities enable us to have higher definition images as well as being able to email a copy or save it on a CD.

We strongly suggest that you bring your horse to the clinic if at all possible to take advantage of our specialized horse facility. If this is not possible, some procedures commonly done in the field include: physical exam evaluation, administration of medications, laceration repair, superficial tumor removal, castrations, wound care, hoof injury and abscess care, joint injections and more.

Our in-house laboratory allows our veterinarian to test blood and other samples in the clinic for quick results to expedite diagnosis and treatment options.  

Convenient Appointments

Appointments for routine and elective work are scheduled from

8:30am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, as well as from

9:00 am - 3:30pm on Saturdays year round. We always have an on-call veterinarian after hours. We are available 24/7 for prompt, professional response to local horse owners and referring veterinarians. In addition to seeing our patients at “home” we also are able to provide veterinary services at local equestrian events.
